Climate Technology Venture Funds
MassMutual Ventures launched Climate Technology Fund II, a $150 million venture fund that invests in early-stage North American companies applying climate technology and AI to improve real assets, including energy infrastructure, real estate and natural resources. The fund brings the firm's total climate tech commitment to $300 million, building on the 2023 launch of its first fund, which backed 16 companies across clean power, energy systems and climate adaptation.
The fund draws on MMV's climate and energy sector expertise alongside MassMutual's experience in large, asset-intensive markets. CTF II targets the intersection of rising clean energy demand and growing physical and operational risk across real assets.
MassMutual's expanded commitment signals growing institutional confidence in AI-driven technology's ability to improve efficiency, resilience and sustainability across complex, capital-intensive industries.
