Biomethane Expansion Milestones

Hexagon Agility has delivered its 6,000th carbon fibre gas distribution cylinder to Processkontroll Green Technology, marking a milestone in a long standing collaboration to expand biomethane and hydrogen infrastructure across the Nordic region. The delivery continues a partnership that began in 2009 and is presented as a key element in developing virtual pipeline solutions and mobile gas modules to serve industries and communities without access to conventional pipelines.

The cylinders are described as high pressure carbon fibre composite vessels that offer significant weight and storage advantages compared with steel alternatives, and they have been deployed in applications ranging from bus fleets to biomethane refuelling stations. The companies state the cumulative deliveries support regional energy transition objectives by strengthening distribution capacity for green gases in Norway, Sweden, and Finland and by enabling more flexible, low carbon supply chains for transport and industry.
