Climate Partners Investment Funds
Five development and investment organizations are designing the Climate and Peace Investment Fund, an impact strategy that targets entrepreneurs building climate resilience in lower-income and conflict-affected countries. The partners are the Nordic Development Fund, Incofin Investment Management, the Peace Dividend Initiative, the United Nations Development Program, and Switzerland's development cooperation agency.
Over the coming months, they will complete country-specific assessments to identify where private enterprise can advance climate adaptation while supporting social cohesion, and to flag risks that could exacerbate local tensions. A coalition of public, philanthropic, and private investors will be assembled, though no fund size or launch date has been disclosed.
This fund signals how climate finance could reach fragile markets that conventional financing overlooks, pairing adaptation outcomes with safeguards against unintended harm.
