Scaled Renewable Build Platforms
Actis launched 'Leo Energies,' its next-generation renewable energy platform in India, targeting a portfolio of more than 3GW of onshore wind, solar, and battery storage assets. The launch marks the fourth iteration of Actis' buy-and-build strategy in India, building on prior platforms such as Ostro Energy and Sprng Energy, and the current platform, BluPine Energy, which has already surpassed 3GW of capacity.
Leo Energies has signed agreements to acquire roughly 650MWp of solar capacity across five states, with the capacity contracted under long-term power purchase agreements with utility and commercial customers. Actis has deployed approximately $1.5 billion in India's energy sector to date.
As India targets 500GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, Leo Energies highlights how repeatable platform strategies are helping investors scale clean energy infrastructure quickly in one of the world's fastest-growing renewable markets.
