Masdar signed an agreement to acquire a 49.99% stake in a €849 million renewable energy investment portfolio in Spain, comprising 13 wind farms and six solar parks with a combined operational capacity of 705MW. All assets entered service in 2025 and early 2026. The deal also includes more than 565MW of potential hybridization pipeline growth spanning wind, solar and battery storage.

The transaction marked Repsol's eighth renewable asset rotation, bringing its total rotated capacity to 3,850MW in Spain and the United States. For Masdar, the acquisition advances its target of reaching 100GW of global renewable capacity by 2030 and expands its operational footprint across the Iberian Peninsula to 4.1GW.

The partnership shows how strategic asset-sharing between energy companies can accelerate renewable energy deployment while supporting long-term growth objectives.
