Mars, Incorporated has entered into a long-term virtual power purchase agreement with European Energy to secure the majority of the output from the planned Skuodas Wind Farm in Lithuania, which is expected to generate approximately 490 gigawatt-hours of renewable electricity annually and avoid around 120,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year. This project, scheduled to begin operation in 2028, will have an installed capacity of 158.4 megawatts and includes bundled guarantees of origin, providing Mars with verified renewable energy to cover its own consumption and value chain activities.

The long-term virtual power purchase agreement represents a continuation of Mars’ Renewables Acceleration Program, which previously included a European contract launching over 100 solar projects in Poland, three projects in the United States with Enel, and a separate agreement securing 70% of the output from a wind farm in Sweden.
