Offshore Wind Installation Acquisitions
Cadeler Has Acquired Menck to Boost Wind Foundation Tech
Adam Harrie — August 12, 2026Cadeler completed its €501 million acquisition of Menck, integrating the offshore wind foundation installation specialist's technology and engineering expertise into Cadeler's operations while keeping Menck as a standalone business. The acquisition strengthens Cadeler's offshore foundation transportation and installation capabilities by combining Menck's more than 150 years of engineering experience with Cadeler's fleet of heavy-lift jack-up wind installation vessels.
Menck brings a portfolio of hydraulic impact hammers, noise mitigation, drilling, grouting and specialist lifting equipment, backed by more than 50 million data points on driven piles. Cadeler intends to preserve Menck's independent market identity and customer relationships, continuing to serve other installation contractors across the offshore wind industry rather than restricting access to a single operator.
This acquisition signals that consolidating specialized foundation expertise with vessel operations could deliver more integrated, reliable installation execution across the industry's expanding project pipeline.
