Wind Power Agreements

Amazon Has Secured 200 MW From Its Four Swedish Wind Farms

Amazon has entered into long-term agreements to purchase nearly 200 MW of electricity from four Swedish wind farms, supporting the growing power demand at the company's data centers in Eskilstuna, Katrineholm and Västerås. Once all projects are operational, Amazon's total wind energy capacity in Sweden will approach 1 GW, enough to power more than 350,000 households annually.

Three of the wind farms are already generating electricity, while the largest site, Fageråsen, remains under construction. In 2025, Amazon was Sweden's largest private purchaser of fossil-free energy, building on a global portfolio spanning more than 700 renewable energy projects and over 40 GW of capacity worldwide.

Amazon's continued investment in Swedish wind power signals that major tech companies are increasingly securing dedicated renewable capacity.
