EDF Power Solutions North America signed two 25-year power purchase agreements with NV Energy for the Winston Energy Project in Nevada. The project combines a 400 MWac solar project with a 400 MW/1,600 MWh battery storage system in Lyon County. It is expected to begin delivering electricity in October 2029, employing more than 400 workers at peak construction and generating approximately $100 million in local tax revenue over its operating life.

Once operational, Winston Energy is expected to generate approximately 1,110,000 MWh of renewable energy annually, enough to power 100,000 Nevada homes and avoid CO₂ emissions equivalent to more than 187,000 passenger vehicles driven for a year.

This long-term agreement signals that paired renewable energy and storage projects are becoming central to meeting both decarbonization goals and rising regional electricity demand.
