Solar Plant Sales
Excelsior Energy Capital completed the sale of its Faraday and Skyhawk solar plants to Enel subsidiaries for about $760 million, marking the firm's largest exit to date. Faraday, a 525 MWAC plant in Utah County, Utah, ranks among the largest utility-scale solar investments in the U.S. and is backed by a 20-year power purchase agreement with PacifiCorp. Skyhawk, a 100 MWAC plant in Obion County, Tennessee, operates under a long-term agreement with the Tennessee Valley Authority.
Excelsior emphasized that the transaction reflects the strength of contracted renewable infrastructure backed by long-term power purchase agreements with reliable counterparties.
The sale followed a purchase agreement signed in February 2026 and involved two of Excelsior's investment funds fully exiting their interests in the projects.
