Supply Chain Satellite Data
Epoch Blue raised a $4.25 million seed round co-led by Burnt Island Ventures and Sand River to build its first-mile data layer for supply chains. The London startup sells plot-level satellite data and APIs that help supply chain platforms and importers check where their goods came from.
The data covers EU Deforestation Regulation checks, carbon disclosure, and water and biodiversity metrics, and it derives plot boundaries from satellite imagery when suppliers cannot provide them. Epoch sells through platform partners including Altana, Assent, Resilinc and Sphera, and the round funds a self-serve compliance product for small importers.
As deforestation rules tighten, Epoch signals how satellite-derived plot data can bring traceability to importers that lack sustainability teams, easing compliance for companies that must clear EU customs but cannot afford consultants.
